I like to eat. I like to eat in Atlantic City's many casino restaurants, and I sincerely think Atlantic City's restaurant's rank among the best restaurants everywhere - and, nationally, they don't get the recognition they deserve. Additionally, I don't think the restaurants get enough local respect.

These restaurants are great - and I try to visit each at least once a year.

If someone said, "Joe Kelly, where do you recommend we go eat at one of the casinos?", these would be my answers.

A little disclaimer: This is a list of my favorites. There may be "better" restaurants in town, but, as of today, these are my favorites. These are the places I like to go.

Also, the restaurants are numbered 1 through 10. It's not a ranking. It's just a list of 10 restaurants.

    The Landshark Bar & Grill

Sometimes it's not all about the food. The Landshark - located across the Boardwalk from Resorts does have great food, but the atmosphere and location does it for me. A cold beer and some fish tacos and I'm ready for the weekend!

    The Continental

Located at the Pier in Atlantic City (whoops, now The Playground), I still consider this a casino restaurant, because it's kind of located in a casino. Or, near a casino. The Continental is known for it's "small plates" concept. Instead of ordering one entree, you can order a few different smaller plates and share. That being said, If I order the Steak Frites, I don't want to share! You get a deductible cut of steak and some yummy fries. Don't touch it! It's mine! Other favorites include the Cheesesteak Egg rolls, Wagyu Sliders, French Onion Soup Dumplings, and Korean Pork Tacos. On second though, I'm not sharing at all...

    Guy Fieri's Chophouse

Located inside Bally's Casino is one of several restaurants in the city owned by big-name TV celebrity chefs.  While I'm on fan of some of Guy's famous appetizers, like Vegas Fries and Garlic Buffalo Wings, you can't stop me from ordering the Crab Stuffed Mushrooms every time I'm in the place! While I've tasted many of the items on the menu, and enjoyed them all, my "go to" is the Black and Blue Burger.

    Old Homestead

Atlantic City has some great steakhouses. Old Homestead is certainly one of those. They give you knives to cut your steak, but the meat is always so tender, I think that you could almost do without. The perfect place for a relaxing evening!

    Bill's Bar & Burgers

There are a lot of "trendy" burger bars in Atlantic City, but this one at Harrah's is my favorite. Scrumptious burgers and awesome french fries are a great meal right before or after a show.

    McCormick & Schmick's

Located in Harrah's, it lives up to it's name. If you put the word "Seafood" in the title of your restaurant, you'd better have pretty good seafood. McCormick & Schmick's has it covered. I've never had a disappointing dish.

    Trattoria Il Mulino

The Trump Taj Mahal is home to some culinary excellence, as the Trattoria Il Mulino does not disappoint. It's a great example of a restaurant that doesn't have a encyclopedia-like menu, yet there is always something for everyone. Tastefully decorated and fun, it's a cool place to be.

    Carmine's

If you want to walk away with a full, sacrificed belly, this is the place for you.  Located in the Quarter at the Tropicana. Such great food served family style. So, if you're looking for a place to take - well, anyone and everyone - this is the place for you. Fine Italian food where every bite is better than the last. I could eat their Chicken Marsala for days.  Definitely one of the best cheesecakes in town.

    P.F. Chang's

I've loved PF Chang's for years. The restaurant at the Tropicana is my go-too place, especially for lunch on a Saturday. I always start with Chang's Chicken Noodle Soup. Some find it too spicy - but, I add a little hot sauce to make it even spicier! The Chicken Lettuce Wraps are usually up next, followed by a few entrees to share.
Insider's Tip: Your server will usually mix some sauce at your table - and will make it as spicy as you want it. If you want to try an even hotter and spicier sauce, though, ask for the Chef's Special Sauce.

    Vic and Anthony's

If you like steak, you're going to love Vic and Anthony's, located in the Golden Nugget. Great cuts of meat, awesome side dishes, and I just love their roasted beet salad. No meal at Vic & Anthony's is complete without a slice of their cheesecake - and, if you can't eat it there, take it home for later!
Insider's tip: Vic and Anthony's has 2 mouth-watering burgers, The Vic and The Anthony! You won't find them on the regular menu - but, they're on the bar menu. If you feel like it, just pull up a stool at the bar and order one!
