Kelsea Ballerini and piano prodigy Joey Alexander have teamed up for a smooth remake of the The Sound of Music classic "My Favorite Things." Though it's not necessarily a Christmas-specific song, it'll likely find its way into country fans' holiday playlists this year.

"My Favorite Things" was the title track of 13-year-old Alexander's debut instrumental album, which he released in 2015 and which hit No. 1 on the Billboard Jazz Albums chart. Ballerini adds jazzy vocals to make the tune her own; readers can press play below to hear the song.

"Putting out "[My] Favorite Things" with Joey has been one of my proudest and most exciting projects and moments so far," Ballerini says in a press release. "He is so incredibly talented and, more so, so humble. Being in the studio and listening to him play so effortlessly over and over really challenged me to be my best."

Adds Alexander, "I got a good dose of that warm Southern hospitality from the folks from Black River Records and the Nashville country music community, and performing with Kelsea Ballerini was amazing. I’m really proud of the work we’ve done."

Ballerini and Alexander performed "My Favorite Things" for the 2016 CMA Country Christmas TV special, which premieres Monday night (Nov. 28) at 8PM ET on ABC. The song is also available on iTunes.

On Ballerini’s 23rd birthday (Sept. 12), she became the first female artist (including duos and groups) in country music history to hit No. 1 with the first three consecutive singles from a debut album; the rising star also became the first solo female artist in history to top both the Country Airplay and Hot Country Singles charts simultaneously. Ballerini is currently out on the road on her first headlining tour, aptly named The First Time Tour.
