Maybe Juanita Cerbone didn't get what she was hoping for in her Easter basket this year. Something set her off on Easter Sunday evening.

Police arrested the 53-year-old woman about 6:15 p.m. on Sunday after they spotted Cerbone walking down Snead Court in the Mystic Island section of the township toting a three-foot long machete, according to app.com.

Patrolman Brian Smith pulled his gun and ordered her to drop the machete, according to police.

In the report by App.com, Cerbone ignored Smith's command and moved toward Smith while still holding the machete, police said. Officers said she appeared to be visibly intoxicated.

Cerbone dropped the machete after other officers arrived at the scene, but she struggled briefly while they placed her under arrest, according to the news release.

Cerbone was charged with with obstruction, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

She was taken to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River in lieu of $10,000.
