Lifelong Millville Resident Now Among the Town’s Highest Paid

There are no records to cite, but we are pretty sure who just became one of Millville's richest residents.

He's 22-year-old Mike Trout.

The pride of Millville signed a contract with the Los Angeles Angels this weekend, launching himself into a brand new tax bracket. Trout inked a six year deal worth $144.5 million.

Phillies fans who hoped to one day see Trout in a Philadelphia jersey will not be seeing that happen anytime soon, as the contract, good through 2020, contains a no-trade clause.
