In September 2013, Wolny, who was then living in Jackson, New Jersey, used peer to peer file sharing software on his computer to download video files containing images of child sexual abuse from the internet. When law enforcement officers searched Wolny's Jackson residence and his car in September 2013, they seized numerous electronic devices containing approximately 2,000 images and 1,600 videos of suspected child pornography.
