Local Woman Found Dead On Side of Road

A 29 year-old Egg Harbor Township woman is dead - her body found on the side of the road after a motorist called 9-1-1.

According to the Press of Atlantic City:

Amber Swigert, 29, was found after a motorist called 9-1-1 stating he observed a body at the side of the road near the intersection of Fork Road and the Black Horse Pike.

A wooded stretch of Fork Road was closed Thursday morning as township police and the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office investigated the scene. Investigators were searching the edge of the woods, sweeping the area with metal detectors.

Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain said an autopsy is pending.
