David Connor Castallani of Linwood, N.J., says in a suit filed Tuesday in federal court in Camden that he was beaten after being kicked out of a casino nightclub.

He says officers hit and kicked him and a police dog mauled him as he lay defenseless on the ground.

A video provided by his family shows officers hitting and kicking Castallani, and a police dog appearing to latch on to him around the neck.

He was charged with attempted assault on an officer, resisting arrest and attempting to harm a police dog.

No one was available to comment at the Atlantic City solicitor's office.
