Mays Landing Man Arrested After Pointing Gun at Ex’s Head

A Mays Landing man is facing several charges after reportedly breaking into his ex-girlfriend's Egg Harbor Township home, grabbing her by the throat, and pointing a gun at her head.

Egg Harbor Township Police say Justin Tamanini, 21, also threatened to kill Cheryl Fry Wednesday night.

Tamanini grabbed Fry by the throat, threatened to kill her again and then began damaging items inside the residence. Tamanini fled the residence on foot. The victim was not injured in the assault.
Tamanini was located in the area by Officer Christopher Leary after a search by several officers. He was taken into custody and was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, burglary, criminal mischief and terroristic threats. Bail on these charges was set by Municipal Court Judge H. R. Switzer at $50,000.00 full and Tamanini was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
