Mays Landing Man Busted for Sending Heroin in the Mail

Detectives from Hamilton Township have arrested a Mays Landing man for sending heroin through the mail system.

Police say the arrest of Anthony Bertolino, 58, came about following a joint investigation with the Old Bridge Police Department.

According to Township of Hamilton Police, Old Brigde Police had a heroin overdose in their towns, and followed up on evidence found at the scene. That evidence was able to be traced back to Bertolino, who police say had mailed the drug.

Bertolino was released pending a court appearance.
