Michael Ray was arrested early Wednesday morning (Dec. 20) at a McDonald's in Eustis, Fla., for driving while intoxicated and possession of marijuana.

Police say Ray crashed his 2012 Jeep into the car in front of him in the McDonald's drive-thru line around 4AM. The Orlando Sentinel quotes the arrest report — Ray says his foot slipped off the pedal, causing him to hit a 2016 blue Toyota Scion in front of him.

"While speaking to Michael I noticed he had blood shot eyes, slurred speech, he stumbled while walking and smelled of alcohol ... he said he was coming from a bar in Tavares," the arresting officer says.

Police also found a bottle with liquid, which Ray said was his "weed oil."

The 29-year-old's real name is Michael Ray Roach and Eustis, Fla., is his hometown. His hits include "Kiss You in the Morning" and "Think a Little Less." Earlier this year he released a song called "Get to You" from an upcoming second studio album. He closed the year with Dustin Lynch on the Ride or Die Tour and with news that he'd been named one of the 2018 CRS New Faces.

According to the Lake County Sheriff's Office he is being held at the Lake County Jail on a $6,000 bond. He has a court date set for Jan. 18. The possession of marijuana charge was for "THC Hash Oil."
