Middle Township Police Investigating Stabbing of Atlantic City Man
Middle Township Police started their Memorial Day weekend by investigating a stabbing in Rio Grande Friday night.
Police say they responded to Linden Lane in Rio Grande around 9:15 Friday night after they received a call about a man who was stabbed. When they arrived, they found 54-year-old William Crawford of Atlantic City with stab wounds to his abdomen and right bicep.
According to a press release, when they arrived officers found his girlfriend screaming for help and holding a towel on his wounds. Cops say Crawford was incoherent at the time and was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City via helicopter.
Police say their investigation remains active and no one has yet been arrested. Crawford remains at ARMC-City in stable condition as of a Monday morning press release. Anyone with any information is asked to call 609-465-8700.
