Two military containers that were dropped off at a travel plaza caused quite the scare in Carneys Point.

Saturday night the containers caused the plaza to be evacuated and the bomb squad was called in to investigate.

According to NJ.com,

The incident began between 10:15 and 10:30 p.m. when a man in a Delaware-registered  pickup truck pulled up to the gas pumps at the Flying J.  Travel Plaza on U.S. Route 140, according to Carneys Point Police Det. Sgt. Dale VanNamee.

The man removed two military containers from his truck and placed them near the gas pumps, VanNamee said Sunday. The man said something to the effect that he didn't need them any more and left.

Traffic was shut down for over two hours while the containers were being investigated.  The man who dropped off the containers has been located and is being questioned.
