Millville’s Mike Trout Has Disappointed Me Again

He's the best player in Major League Baseball, he's a local guy, and he's disappointed me. Again.

You're killing me, Trout!

Millville's Mike Trout, Los Angeles Angles outfielder and perennial Baseball All-Star has disappointed me once again.

For those of you keeping score at home, my first disappointment by Trout is that he's  never appeared on the Cat Country Morning Show. I've tweeted him, messaged him, emailed him, all to no avail.

No reply at all.

Now, let's get to my latest disappointment:

He's not using a good nickname!

August 25-27 is something called "Players Weekend" in Major League Baseball. Players will be wearing uniforms with their nicknames on the back of their jerseys, for the first time ever!

On the back of Trout's jersey will be......... Kiiiiid.

What happened to Millville Meteor? Oh, yeah, I know that's not really your nickname. (It was actually started by somebody who edited Trout's Wikipedia page one day, and it kind of stuck - as the unofficial nickname of the local legend.)

Mike, I know you've been quoted as saying that Millville Meteor ISN'T your nickname - but I've heard it used more often than the 5-same-voweled Kiiiiid!

I know it's too late to change it this year, but, Mike, maybe it's time to start thinking about next year!
