Look -- no one wants to see their parents show up unexpectedly at college. It's the youthful equivalent of the IRS popping up on your doorstep.

It's what makes this so darned funny.

A woman from New York City decided to surprise her 18-year-old daughter by showing up at her dorm room at Utah State University and help her move out for the summer.

Deanna Pilling sent a text to her daughter, McKenna, telling her she was in McKenna's room.

One teeny tiny problem: she was actually in the wrong room. McKenna tweeted the exchange, which has since gone viral.

“She just waited there for five minutes and decided to send me a funny picture and it ended up not being my dorm... because I was already in my dorm," McKenna said.

McKenna also told BuzzFeed, "My intention was only for family and friends to see, hence the caption, ‘Momma Pilling at it again,’ because the people I know know her as ‘Momma Pilling.’ But once it got bigger and bigger we just couldn’t stop laughing because it was so unexpected."

See? No one wins when parents try to surprise kids at college.
