Mullica Township Police Officer Narrowly Misses Being Hit by a Car [VIDEO]

A Mullica Township police officer is lucky to be alive after almost being struck by a car during a traffic stop.

WMGM-TV reports Ofc. Erik Carricarte and his partner were conducting a traffic stop recently when a suspected drunken driver slammed into his police car. Video released by the Mullica Township Police Department shows the officer narrowly escaping what could have been very serious injuries. Carricarte tells WMGM-TV, "Side scraped my vehicle, hit my feet and the vehicle probably came about a foot and a half from hitting me. It was extremely scary."
