In south Jersey it's a cloudy and raw day with the occasional wintry mix falling.

Most of New Jersey remains under a Winter Weather Advisory until 8 p.m.  Snow will stick to untreated surfaces as a quick moving Alberta Clipper produces a slippery morning drive. The snow should end by tonight.

Some schools and organizations in north Jersey have decided to cancel classes for the day.

Total accumulations:

  • 1 -2 inches will accumulate along the Route 1 corridor and in northern Monmouth County and into northern counties.
  • Less than an inch along the Shore and all across South Jersey where some mixing with sleet and a changeover to rain may take place.

New Jersey Transit will cross honor tickets across its entire system today for rail, buses and light rail while the New Jersey Turnpike has reduced speeds to 45 MPH between #1 (Delaware Memorial Bridge)  and #11 (Garden State Parkway) while the Garden State Parkway is at 50 MPH between Manahawkin and the New York State border.
