New Jersey’s ‘American Idol’ Finalist Reveals She’s Battling Thyroid Cancer

Some sad news to report from one of New Jersey's top finalists from 'American Idol.' Jax has revealed that she's battling thyroid cancer.

Jax came in third in 2015 on 'American Idol.'  She told NJ 101.5 that an ultrasound found 18 tumors on her thyroid.  A biopsy found 12 of them cancerous.

Jax underwent surgery to remove the cancerous tumors.  And today, she's feeling better, but there will be more treatments and possibly more surgeries in her future.
