New Twinkies Will Last Even Longer

Twinkies will soon be returning to store shelves and here's some good news: the new Twinkies will have a longer shelf life.

Hostess Brands says Twinkies will now have a shelf life of 45 days when they start hitting shelves next week. Previously, it was 26 days. The change was actually made by the original company that went bankrupt, however there wasn't much fanfare since the end of the Twinkie world was approaching. The new manufacturer of the snacks will bring the 45-day Twinkies back to market.

Here's the good news: neither the old Twinkie baking company nor the new one will reveal what was done to extend the life of Twinkies since it's top secret corporate information.

One can only imagine...
