In November of 2016, Nike introduced its first ever self-lacing sneaker with the debut of the HyperAdapt 1.0 iteration. Now, a year removed the initial release, Nike looks to continue pushing the innovative sneaker with a new colorway of the technically advanced shoe before the end of the year.

Launching in the days to come, the latest HyperAdapt 1.0 will feature a royal blue upper with hits of navy blue on the toe front and Swoosh branding. With black accents complementing the shoe's heel, a white colorway is added to the midsole of the kicks to give the pair a contrast hue. Made out of a mesh material, the shoes come equipped with LED lights on the heel and midsole that light up when consumers use the self-lacing system.

Inspired by Marty McFly’s Mag shoes from the Back to the Future movie franchise, the first generation of the Nike HyperAdapt 1.0 includes electrical and mechanical engineering with Nike’s innovative Zoom Air unit.

Set to release on Fri., Oct. 27, the Nike HyperAdapt 1.0 royal blue iteration will be available at select Nike retailers and accounts as well as nike.com. Priced at $720, the shoes will be available for a limited time only.
