A store, which happens to be next to our studios on Tilton Road in Northfield, was busted this afternoon for selling synthetic marijuana.

After a long investigation, Northfield Police raided ACRAT on Tilton Road in Northfield earlier today and found several brands of synthetic marijuana.

Northfield Police Chief Robert James told WPVI-TV, "Utilizing undercover officers, we were able to make several purchases of the compounds and substances from the store."

Synthetic marijuana, sometimes known as bath salts, is a compound typically treated with chemicals that imitate the effects of real cannabis. The side effects can range from breathing problems to seizures and even psychotic episodes. Earlier this year, the state placed a 270-day ban on such substances.
