Not that long ago, people who needed hip surgery in their forties or fifties were told they should wait since the life of a hip replacement was only about 20 years, and they would most likely need another.

Now, new technology has given a longer life to the materials used in hip replacements, opening the door for younger people to get a replacement. Someone in their early fifties can now expect to have a hip replacement that lasts throughout their entire life.

Learn more as Dr. Zachary Post, surgeon with the Rothman Institute, talks about new techniques in hip replacement surgery with Robin Stoloff in her radio show, Living Well on Lite Rock 96.9 WFPG. Catch it every Sunday from 9-11am.
