Be warned, depending on how YOU pronounce it, your life could be entirely changed by this article….forever.
If you’ve never tried Nutella before, well when you’ve never really lived.
But for those of you know about the hazelnut, chocolatey, sensation of heaven, you know about the whole Nut-ella vs. New-tella situation.
Not surprisingly, people are so protective over the spread that they’ve even taken twitter to defend it’s honor:
Why do people pronounce it “Newtella”? It’s NUTella. There’s NUTS in it not NEWTS.

I just heard someone pronounce Nutella as “newtella”. I literally wanted to kill them — Matty Fek (@MattyAmazing) July 14, 2014
But in fact, according to US Nutella’s FAQ site:
…I apologize if we just ruined your day.
Apparently Nutella is pronounced “Newtella” ..my whole life has been a lie

But here’s something that’ll make it better. I’m just gonna leave this right here for you:
According to CBS, the world’s first Nutella cafe is opening in Chicago. The Michigan Avenue restaurant will feature Nutella-inspired salads, soups, paninis and desserts. Crepes, gelato and espresso will also be served.
