A Lakewood, NJ patient who was taken to the hospital overnight for Ebola-like symptoms does not have the deadly disease, according to a spokeswoman for the N.J. Department of Health.

According to NJ.com,

"While the patient had recently traveled to Africa, "this person had not even traveled to an Ebola-affected country," said Donna Leusner, the spokeswoman. Nor had the patient traveled to an African region where Lassa Fever is prevalent.

For that reason, an Ebola test was not deemed necessary, she said."

Thankfully the patient should make a full recovery.
