One person is dead as the result or a fatal accident on the White Horse Pike in Absecon last night.

According to Sgt. Raymond Adams of the Absecon Police Department, Absecon police  responded to a car-pedestrian accident at 10:22 last night on Route 30 (White Horse Pike) at the intersection of Mill Rd.Officers arrived to find a victim lying in the roadway with severe injuries and unconscious.

The victim was transported by Absecon Emergency Services Ambulance to the Atlantic Care Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City where pronouncement was made. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Jeremy Senior, age 30 from Mays Landing NJ, was not injured.

The accident remains under investigation by Sgt Raymond Adams and Ptl Jeffrey Mazer. Identification of the victim is pending notification of family members.
