Pleasantville Man Pleads Guilty to Promoting Prostitution
The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office says 42-year-old Henry Lovest has pleaded guilty to promoting prostitution and a weapons charge.
Lovest pleaded guilty to 3rd degree Promoting Prostitution and 2nd degree Certain Person not to Possess a Firearm and faces a 7 year state prison sentence.
Authorities say Lovest forced women to engage in prostitution through threats of serious bodily harm and the provision of drugs. He forced the women to turn over all proceeds that they made from prostitution.
Last February, a search warrant was executed at the Homestead Lodge in Pleasantville and a vehicle was also searched at that time. From that search, a gun was seized.
Sentencing is scheduled for March 8.
