Where is John Ring of Hammonton and what happened to him? Why has it taken so long for the search to intensify?

There are many questions but few answers in the mystery surrounding Hammonton truck driver John Ring's disappearance close a month ago.

According to a missing persons appeal posted by his step-son, Ring, a truck driver with Express Dedicated LLC was last seen on Oct. 31 in Hammonton. John left early on November 1, headed to Virginia. On November 1 his employer was unable to contact him and his truck tracker showed he arrived  at a rest area on I-85 Northbound in Dolphin, VA. at 5:10 pm.

A state trooper was sent to check and upon arrival found his truck locked with some of his belonging’s still inside. His phone has been turned off for weeks. His family said this was very out of character for him. He would never abandoned his truck and go this long without making contact.

John Ring is a white male, 6' tall and 185 pounds. He is 62 years old. His hair is gray and he has a mustache. His eyes are brown.

It's no wonder that the website missingadultskids.com seemed frustrated when posting about the man's disappearance on Thanksgiving Day.

John Ring has been missing for over three weeks. And a holiday passed with him being still missing. Yet, like too many others, John Ring is on the wrong side of unequal missing persons searches. I cannot find even one bulletin, press release, or article concerning John Ring in any Internet searches. If any of these exist, search engines are burying them. But John Ring has a family who are desperately searching for him. Do you have any information concerning the whereabouts of John Ring? Do you have any information concerning the person (s) responsible for his disappearance?

Ring's stepson Marc Lemus showed more confidence in the investigation on Sunday, Nov. 25 when he posted that, although he hadn't heard any news about his stepdad, detectives were "hard at work' on the case.

If you have any information, you are asked to contact the Hammonton Police Department at (609) 567-4300 EXT 237.
