Power Outage Puts a Portion of Egg Harbor Township In the Dark

A power outage in Egg Harbor Township is causing some traffic delays this afternoon and evening.

As of 5:15 Thursday evening, Atlantic City Electric is reporting about 6,800 customers are without power, most of which are in Egg Harbor Township. Several traffic lights, some on the Black Horse Pike, are not working as a result and some traffic delays are being reported.

WMGM-TV is reporting an Atlantic City Electric spokesperson says a breaker failure in the Searstown substation in Egg Harbor Township is to blame for the outage.
