Puppies Rescued From Hamilton Township Condo Fire

Wednesday evening, fire crews responded to Oakcrest Estates in Hamilton Township for reports of a house fire. No one was home at the time — except for a litter of puppies.

Hamilton Township police officers and firefighters converged on Corwen Court around 6:30 Tuesday evening and found a fire burning in a second floor bedroom of a condo unit. Crews were able to quickly contain the fire to only that bedroom. No one was home at the time of the fire, but the family’s pets, including a litter of puppies, were rescued without harm. The family won’t be able to live at the condo until repairs can be made and the cause of the fire is still being investigated.
