No Shave November is here once again.  Out with the razors, in with the beards. Every November men grow out their beards for a great cause.  So, what's it all about? No Shave November is an organization that was formed in 2009 by a Chicago family of 8 who lost their father in a battle with colon cancer in November of 2007. It has since turned into a month-long event in which participants temporarily stop shaving and grooming in order to cause conversation and raise cancer awareness.

The goal of No Shave November is to grow awareness by embracing our hair, which many cancer patients lose, and letting it grow wild. It is encouraged to donate the money you typically spend on shaving and grooming to foundations that aid in education and prevention of cancer.

No Shave November has very simple rules to follow: put down your razor for 30 days and donate your monthly hair-maintenance expenses to the cause. If workplace guidelines happen to be strict, there is no real issue in grooming and trimming. After all, the main purpose is to spread awareness.

No-Shave November is a web-based, non-profit organization devoted to growing cancer awareness and raising funds to support cancer prevention, research, and education. To join the movement or find out more, visit No Shave November.
