Register Now for No Shave November 2013
It's November. Here in Cat Country Land, that means NO SHAVE NOVEMBER!
It's a fun way to raise money and awareness for the kids of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and it's not too late to join and stop shaving, now!
The idea is to stop shaving for November, and make a donation to St. Jude's Kids. When people ask you why you're not shaving, tell them about not shaving, and ask them to make a donation to the cause
The cost to register and be a part of our Cat Country 107.3 team is a $30 donation (yes, you can give more) , plus whatever donations you can raise donations through the growing of your beard!
Here’s how it works. November 1st (or whenever you start), you take a photo of yourself clean shaven, with the day’s newspaper, and upload the photo to your very own No Shave November participant’s page. If you can, also upload it to Facebook. (Tag us too! WPUR Cat Country 107.3). Then, stop shaving. (You may do “clean up shaving” of your neck area and upper cheeks.) On November 30th, upload another photo. Along the way, try to secure donations to help yours and our teams effort.
At the end of the month, we’ll award prizes for Most Money Raised, Best Beard, and more!
Registration in now underway. It’s easy and will only take a few minutes. There is a minimum donation level to participate, $30.
Follow the instructions to register yourself and to join our team. Our team name is Cat Country 107.3 . You must join our team in order to be eligible for the prizes, and for your dollars to help us reach our team goal.
Yes, this is open to women too! You can stop shaving....well, any are you choose!
If you don’t want to participate, you can still make a donation to our team, just click on the same link.
If you are raising funds, you can direct your sponsors to go to the No Shave website and find you, or you can collect donations in person and drop them off at our studios during regular business hours by November 30th. (Checks should be made out to “St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital”)
So, get ready to throw away the razor and help out!
