According to a tweet from ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter this news was filed to ESPN: The Buffalo Bills have notified linebacker Kiko Alonso, who played for Chip Kelly at Oregon, that he is going to be traded to Philadelphia for running back LeSean McCoy.

The trade will be official next week.

While its not much of a surprise that McCoy is gone, the news coming down today and what the Eagles got back in return is somewhat stunning.  McCoy had said he was not open to a pay cut, but a restructuring that kicked some guaranteed money down the road could work.

About to turn 27 years old by the start of the season, McCoy's numbers took a dip in 2014 after an all-pro season in 2013.   He lost short yardage duties to Chris Polk and McCoy averaged 4.23 yards per carry with just five TDs on 312 carries last season.

The weakside linebacker is a versatile and athletic player who is a three-down linebacker. Alonso is dominating in coverage should fit in perfectly in the Billy Davis defense.

So Eagles fans, do you like this deal?
