Clear skies predicted for South Jersey tonight should give local residents the chance to see a NASA rocket, after taking off from Virginia.

The LADEE Lunar Orbiter will ride on top of a specially converted intercontinental ballistic missile ICBM from NASA’s Wallops Island facility on the Virginia shoreline. Lift-off is schedule for 11:27pm. The launch marks NASA's return to the moon.

This is the first launch from the coast of Virginia. With it's take-off up the east coast, it's possible that tens of millions of people could witness the rocket's flames as it lifts-off.
