You may have already been stuck behind a school bus driving to or from work, but are you aware of the laws regarding school buses?

Of course, you must stop for a school bus that is flashing it's red lights, but what exactly does the law say? According to the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission, you must stop at least 25 feet from a stopped school bus. That's easy enough to remember.

But what about a divided highway? If you are driving on the opposite side of the road with a median in the middle, you must slow down to 10 MPH as you approach and pass a stopped school bus. I drive to work everyday on the Black Horse Pike and I see people not doing this all the time.

Just a few tips to remember as we all get through the next 180 school days!
