Seth MacFarlane wanted to tell his dad in person that he's been chosen to host the Academy Awards. Seems he has the typical dad.

The creator-producer-voice of shows including "The Family Guy", "American Dad!", and "The Cleveland Show" was announced yesterday as this year's Oscar host.

His dad was glad to hear the news, but had other things on his mind.
