Share the Spirit of the Season with ACUA Holiday Food Drive
'Tis the season of giving and you can help fight hunger and poverty in our community by supporting the Community Food Bank of NJ, Southern Branch, through the Atlantic County Utilities Authority's Annual Holiday Food Drive. Simply place non-perishable food in a clearly marked bag next to your recycling on your regular collection day between December 5th and 16th.
Items needed most are peanut butter, baby food, formula, diapers and canned foods. Please do not included anything frozen, perishable or in glass. More than a million people in New Jersey don’t always know where their next meal is coming from and almost one in five children in our state face hunger. Last year, the Community Food Bank of New Jersey distributed more than 43 million pounds of food to families, children and the elderly. Many are forced to choose between buying their medicine, paying their bills or getting food. We can help the Community Food Bank of NJ help those less fortunate through the annual ACUA Holiday Food Drive. Share the spirit of the season and visit ACUA.com for the pick-up date in your area.
Robin Stoloff talks with Rick Dovey, President of ACUA about their 26th annual holiday food drive and how you can participate.
