A Somers Point woman's car left the roadway and struck a utility pole, causing the car to split in half.

Hamilton Township Police say Corina Hallock, 45, was traveling on Weymouth Avenue when she lost control of her car and it left the roadway.

After the impact with the pole, Hallock was ejected from the vehicle. She was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Police say the accident happened Wednesday evening, and resulted in a section of the road being closed for 2 hours.
