Middle Township School District received some important news from Governor Murphy last week.

NJ.com reports that the district is to receive a $500k grant from the state for a high school dedicated to helping students dealing with addiction and other various mental health issues.

The Coastal Prep High School in Wildwood will serve Cape May County, Burlington County, and parts of Ocean County. The first class will host up to eight students, about four or five less than the average recovery prep program. Each student will receive a diploma from his or her own district.

Reportedly, the grant assures the day program itself, two educator positions, and transportation. This will be New Jersey's third recovery school.
