There are a lot of wineries in South Jersey.  This weekend, I got to experience 5 of them.

My husband's friend put together a wine tour of South Jersey wineries this past weekend.  There were 23 of us on a yellow school and we traveled through Cumberland and Gloucester County wineries.

The day started at Swansea Vineyards.  We tried 6 different New Jersey wines, from a Chardonnay that was aged in stainless steel to a Hammonton blueberry wine.

From Swansea, we went to Auburn Road Vineyard and Winery.  This was my favorite stop on the tour.  The grounds were beautiful, the wine was great and they even have a bar inside and entertainment on the weekends.  We bought a bottle of their Roxanne dry rose'.  Delicious!

Next up was Wagonhouse Winery.  Great location, family owned and operated and great wine!  They had some special fruit wines that would be delicious for a hot summer day.

Stop #4 was Cedarvale Winery & Vineyard.  I love the ladies that poured our wine!  They seemed like they really love their job and made that tasting a lot of fun!  And the wine was delicious!

The last stop was Heritage Vineyard.  This winery happens to be next door to my sister in law's nail salon, so I am well aware of the vineyard, but I have never tried the wine.  I have never been inside either!  What a great place!  They had a guy playing the guitar on their front porch, so you can buy a bottle of wine, sit outside and enjoy!  We bought 2 bottles, the Cuvee Blanc and the Painted Horse Cuvee.  Delicious!

It was a very cool day and I'm excited that I got to experience the wineries in my own state.  And we only touched the surface, there are so many wineries in New Jersey.  Get out and experience one of them soon!
