The Ocean County Prosecutor's Office reports a Tuckerton resident has been arrested on child pornography charges.

Stanley Zdon III, 27 was arrested as part of a nationwide pornography investigation. Eight people were arrested nationwide in the case.

The Press of Atlantic City is reporting that Zdon is a substitute teacher in the Pinelands School District.

UPDATE: The school district reached out to Townsquare Media a short time ago to say that Mr. Zdon had not worked in the district since 2010 and declined to comment further.

According to a release from the Ocean Country Prosecutor's Office:

The Ocean County Prosecutor’s High Tech Crime Unit was called upon recently to assist the U.S.
Department of Homeland Security-Homeland Security Investigations and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service locally
in executing a search warrant at the residence of Tuckerton, NJ resident Stanley Zdon.
The case is brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing
epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice. Led by
United States Attorneys’ Offices and the Criminal Division's Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section (CEOS),
Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state and local resources to better locate, apprehend and prosecute
individuals who exploit children via the Internet, as well as to identify and rescue victims. For more information

Daniel Nolan Devor and John C. Foster were charged with Distribution and Receipt of Child Pornography
which each carry a mandatory minimum sentence of five (5) years and a maximum sentence of twenty (20) years.
Aung Gaw, Sean Jabbar, Christopher Jamieson, Andrew J. Korpal, Nicholas Saine, as well as, Stanley Zdon were
charged with Receipt of Child Pornography which carries a mandatory minimum sentence of five (5) years and a
maximum sentence of twenty (20) years. In addition, each defendant will be placed on a term of supervised release
after imprisonment for a minimum of five (5) years up to life. If convicted, each defendant will have to register as
a sex offender.
This case is being investigated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security-Homeland Security
Investigations and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service. The prosecution of this case is being handled by Strike Force
Chief and Project Safe Childhood Coordinator, Assistant U. S. Attorney Brian M. Klebba.
The media and the public are reminded that criminal charges are merely accusations and that the defendants
are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
