Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City has bumped up the number of copter flights over coastal South Jersey through May 6th.

Saving lives is what the Coast Guard does. A helicopter crew from the Atlantic City station of the Coast Guard rescued 7 people last week near New York City.

The Coast Guard assisted the crew of a fishing boat taking on water Wednesday 80 miles east of Cape May.
