A teenage boy has been arrested for a Monday morning robbery on the Atlantic City boardwalk.

Around 6:30 AM Monday morning an elderly woman was thrown to the ground and robbed in the area of Columbia Place on the boardwalk. The perpetrator was a 16-year-old boy.

The victim was treated by medical personnel on the scene.

After police reviewed surveillance they discovered the teenager dropped some of the items he stole while fleeing the scene. They were also able to determine which way the teen was headed. Police returned some of the dropped belongings to the woman.

The 16-year-old was quickly identified and was arrested on Magellan Ave on Tuesday at around 9:00 PM. Police charged the boy with robbery and was sent to Harborfields Detention Facility in Egg Harbor City.
