New Jersey Housewife Teresa Giudice Says She Inspired TV Character
Teresa Giudice of The Real Housewives of New Jersey says that she inspired one of the newest characters on Netflix's 'Orange is the New Black.'
According to Bravo TV, the show is based on Piper Kerman's incarceration in FCI Danbury in Conneticut, the same prison Teresa served 11 months for fraud.
But the similarities don't end there according to Teresa.
She tells Bravo TV,
"They made a character that is just like me. They probably read my book," Teresa said of her New York Times bestselling memoir Turning the Tables, which was released in February.
The new inmate in OITNB is Judy King. The creator of the show says King is based on Maratha Stewart. Stewart also spent time in jail back in 2004 for obstructing justice. The similarities are striking - King was the host of a cooking show who was arrested on tax evasion charges. Though I suppose someone as narcissistic as Teresa Giudice would think that the character was based on her life...
