Governor Chris Christie signed the bill on Friday.  Get ready New Jersey, your gas prices will go up by $0.23 PER GALLON beginning November 1st.  Thanks government.  Thanks.

Thankfully, gas prices are pretty low right now, however, beginning November 1st, the price will increase by $0.23 per gallon.

Oh yeah, and that could go up (or down, depending) if the tax doesn't bring in enough money.  So my plan to never get gas in the state of New Jersey again will only hurt us in the long run.  Grrrrr.

And don't forget that we get a sales tax decrease!  Of three-eighths of a percent...  By 2018...

As someone who commutes - by car - for my job, I'm upset.  I'm all for the transportation fund to be replenished and for those who were out of work to return, but in my opinion, this tax is a direct slap in the face for the middle class of New Jersey.

Again, just my opinion.

Remember how much it takes you to fill your tank after November 1st.  And then remember the politicians who voted in favor of the gas tax bill on November 8th.
