HAPPY BIRTHDAY NEW JERSEY!!!

On December 18th, 1787, New Jersey became the 3rd state to be ratified into the newly formed United States. 20 years ago on this day was also the day the AOL email sounder became immortalized forever with the film You've Got Mail. There are also a ton of celebrity birthdays like SIA, Christina Aguilera, Brad Pitt, Steven  Spielberg, Josh Dallas, Katie Holmes, New Jersey native Ray Liotta, Keith Richards, and the man who's death sparked World War I Archduke Franz Ferdiand.

We did some digging to find the best and most epic ways to celebrate the Garden State's birthday.

1. Recreating the state seal.

This is everything! They do say that mimicking is the ultimate form of flattery.

2. Profess your love for New Jersey on social media.

We get it, New Jersey finds itself at the butt of a lot of jokes, but it really is a great state.

3. Listen to Bon Jovi's New Jersey album.

4. Listen to Bruce Springsteen's Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J. album.

I was honestly avoiding putting pork roll in this list because I am quite frequently mocked for how much I write about pork roll. However, it's New Jersey's birthday and it would be blasphemy if I didn't include it.
