Things We Wish Were in South Jersey

Being from the South, I'm a creature of comfort. I also know that some of those comforts would be well suited right here in South Jersey!

Here's a list of some things that we need in South Jersey! (And not all of them are from the South...)

Waffle House
Growing up, (especially in college) I probably ate at Waffle House 2 or 3 times a week. I always get the same thing - chicken sandwich plate, scattered, covered and chunked. Extra pickles.

In-And-Out Burger
Truth be told, I've never had an In-And-Out Burger. However, I have heard that they are one of God's gift's to fast food. Therefore, we need one here in South Jersey.

The sale of alcohol inside convenience stores
Where I'm from, you can buy a six pack of beer, a bottle of wine and some gummy bears in the same store. It's convenient, to say the least.

Zaxby's
Zaxby's is a fast food (think Chick-fil-a) restaurant that was started in Statesboro, Georgia. (Where I went to college) Zaxby's sells a few things - chicken fingers, wings and assorted chicken sandwiches. But it's not Chick-fil-A... It's great in it's own way. Two words - Zaxby's sauce.

Mellow Mushroom
A Mellow Mushroom restaurant would make a killing in South Jersey! The trippy pizza shop actually makes delicious pizza (among other things) and has a wide menu of gluten free items. They always have great beers on tap, too.

White Castle or Krystal
Both White Castle and Krystal make similar little slider burgers. I'm partial to Krystal, simply because it's what I grew up with. But White Castle is equally as delicious.
