Police say the armed robbery happened just after 11:30 Sunday night. Officers were called to JFK and the Beach but an investigation revealed the robbery actually took place at 35th and the Beach. Two juvenile victims told police that during the course of the robbery one person threatened them with a stun gun while another threatened them with a handgun.

Officers later located the suspects at JFK and the Promenade. One suspect, Joseph Amabile, remained and surrendered at the scene while two others, identified as Vincenzo Severia and Brenden Burns, both ran from police.

During the chase, police say Burns produced and threw away a black Glock model 26 handgun. Burns was caught and placed under arrest and found to have suspected controlled dangerous substance (CDS) and a 4-inch knife on him. The Glock handgun Burns had in his possession was found to have been stolen in a separate burglary in Pennsylvania on July 1st.

Severia attempted to flee the area but was placed under arrest as he was attempting to remove a pink stun gun from his pants. At the time of his arrest, Severia was also found to be in possession of a 4-inch knife.

Amabile, who surrendered to officers, was found to have a switchblade knife and suspected CDS in his possession.

All three suspects are facing a long list of charges and were lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center after failing to produce their required bail amounts.

The Investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be forthcoming.
