Youth football in Toms River has taken a turn for the worse after a dad tackled and fought with his son's coach.

According to the Asbury Park Press, Joseph Oleske, 46, of Toms River, was arrested and charged with simple assault, following an incident at Toms River North High School.

The coach of the youth football team reported that he was assaulted by Oleske after announcing that he was disbanding the team due to an ongoing problem of poor sportsmanship and bad attitudes.

Oleske had reportedly been in the broadcast booth videotaping the game when he heard about the coach's announcement. According to the coach, Oleske then ran across the field and tackled him. The two men then fought until bystanders pulled them apart.

Oleske told police he only went to talk to the coach when the coach took an "aggressive stance."
