Two area residents have been arrested on possession of cocaine charges and more.

Egg Harbor Township Police say that officers stopped a vehicle shortly before 10pm Wednesday on Delilah Road near Fire Road. After stopping the car for a traffic violation, police were given false identification by the driver, which led to a search of the vehicle.

Police discovered cocaine, oxycodone pills and counterfeit currency in the vehicle.

According to police,

The driver, Jeffrey Young, 49, of Egg Harbor City, was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, tampering with evidence, possession of counterfeit currency and hindering his own apprehension. Bail was set by Municipal Court Judge H. R. Switzer at $50,000 full. Young was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility. The vehicle’s passenger, Justice Smiley, 21, of Atlantic City, was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and tampering with evidence. Bail was set by Municipal Court Judge H. R. Switzer at $35,000 full. Smiley was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
