A tragedy in Egg Harbor Township, as a female pit bull named “Gucci” was found dead, tied to a shed, the victim of starvation.

Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon Tyner says  "Trent Brewer, 22, and Oniesha Noble, 23, both of 311 Booker Avenue, Egg Harbor Township, are both charged with animal cruelty, causing bodily injury resulting in death to a living animal by failing to provide the dog with necessary care, a crime of the third degree."

According to Tyner, EHT Police were alerted of the problem on December 16th, when they received complaints from nearby residents. Police responded and found her dead, tied to a shed. "After an animal necropsy was performed, the cause of death was determined to be starvation and malnourishment as Gucci had begun eating toxic mulch to try to feed herself."

Tyner adds, "Any reports of animal abuse, negligence, or cruelty should be reported immediately to the police department in the jurisdiction where it is occurring."
