The second shooting happened less than three hours later -- just before 2:00 Monday morning, officers responded to the Marina District of the city for a report of shots being fired. Shortly after, a call was received that a male was shot in the 500 block of Absecon Boulevard. In that incident, 18-year-old Taquay Dunston of Atlantic City was found with a gunshot wound to his lower body. Dunston was also taken to ARMC-City for treatment.

The suspect in the shooting of Dunston had fled the area before the arrival of police. He is described as a tall, dark-skinned black male with short hair and a goatee, last seen wearing a white t-shirt, dark blue baseball cap with “NY” on it, blue jeans, and black sneakers.

Anyone with information about either of these incidents is urged to contact the Atlantic City Police Department Violent Crimes Unit at 609-347-5788.
